After the India-China border dispute, the central government is intending to reduce imports from China. It is considering increasing the custom obligation on numerous products imported. Then again, strategy is additionally being considered for e-commerce companies. E-commerce strategy might be changed soon.
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry is preparing its blueprint. Under the new arrangement, e-commerce companies should give data about the creation of items. They have to tell the customer about the item whether their item is Made in India or not.

Self-reliant India will get help 

Experts believe that if this sort of strategy comes for e-commerce, it will be a positive step. This will reduce the trend of Chinese products on one hand and then again will promote the Self-Reliant India Mission. Additionally, customers will have the choice to purchase neighborhood merchandise.

The arrangement had already been prepared earlier 


Explain that the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade formulated the National E-Commerce Policy a year ago. In this, it was made required for e-commerce companies to share data on the details of sellers of all items on their website.

China trade surplus with India $ 47 billion


Explain that during the first 11 months of the financial year ended March 31, 2020, China's trade surplus with India was about $ 47 billion. According to an Indian business organization, retail traders account for about $ 17 billion in total imports from China. Toys, household items, mobile phones, electric and electronic items and cosmetics account for the largest share of these imported items. They can be replenished from Indian products.

China represents 14 per cent of India's complete imports. Between April 2019 and February 2020, China has imported products worth about $ 62.4 billion to India for about 4.7 lakh crore rupees. At the same time, India exported merchandise worth $ 15.5 billion to China for about 1.1 lakh crore rupees.China mainly imports watches, musical instruments, toys, sporting goods, furniture, mattresses, plastics, electrical machinery, electronic equipment, chemical, iron and steel products, fertilizers, mineral fuels and metals.
